Top 6 Nigeria celeb likely to stay Unmarried

The majority of Nigerian young ladies are dreaming about their wedding. But a few Nollywood celebs are not excited about this idea at all.
So these Nollywood beauties expressed their wedding-phobia:

1. Elvina Ibru

Famous daughter of Olorogun Michael Ibru is afraid of is married. She once told it during an interview with Paul Ukpabio:
“I have never wanted to be married. And I do not want to marry presently, and I don’t want to ever get married. But like they say, never say never! I have never ever had the vision of getting married. I have never ever seen myself ever getting married. Even with Elisha who was a planned child, there was no marriage plan. Though his dad wanted marriage, I told him, I love you. I will have your child, you could even be the father of my children, but I am not marrying. I allowed him to understand that it wasn’t that I was against him, but I just didn’t want to marry.”

2. Funmi Iyanda

This girl is probably Nigeria’s most famous media personality. In her interview on Sahara TV she revealed that her dreams differ from the ones of most girls and women around the world:
“I’ve never had a wedding day-dream in my life. While millions of girls and women have already imagined their own elaborate wedding day ceremonies, schemed and sketched designs for a one-of-a-kind wedding gown and even compiled music playlists for the wedding reception festivities.”

3. Yeni Kuti

This prominent Nollywood star said that she is single because she can’t belive in marriage anymore. And that she doesn’t like Nigerian men.
“I am still single because I have lost all interest in marriage and I don’t believe in the institution any more. Nigerian men are too controlling and overbearing for me and I am already set in my ways. Besides, I have been on my own for too long. My major concern is training my daughter.”

4. Tina Mba

The queen of Nollywood soap operas thinks that marriage is a burden.
“Marriage is an institution I respect a lot because it was established by God and because I take it very seriously I have refused to marry. Marriage is a serious business but nowadays I think many people marry for the wrong reasons. That is why you see a lot of divorce cases, which was never there before. I have come to realize that people are beginning to find themselves. Therefore, they know that they shouldn’t be in certain relationships or even marriage. So, they want to get out of the marriage because they want to be happy,”she stated in an interview to the Daily Sun.

5. Gloria Doyle

Gloria Doyle was a singer. Now she is an evangelist. The lady has 3 grown up children. She separated from her husband nearly 20 years ago. She said to The Punch:
“Members of my parish, even my spiritual fathers, have been asking me to get married, but I have a phobia for marriage. My husband and I have been separated for 17 years. I would say that we are temporarily separated because of some issues. I really don’t want to talk about them. You will see them in the movie. If you have been married before and you really didn’t enjoy it, you won’t want to get into it again. I have this phobia for marriage. I suffered ethnic discrimination in my first marriage. It was the first thing that rocked my marriage. When the man is the breadwinner in his family, there is always a problem. I still talk to my husband on the phone, though.”

6. Ebube Nwagbo

Gorgeous and curvy actress Ebube also mentioned her phobia about marriage.
“Yes I am still single. The reason is that I am someone who has always believed in love. It is a big deal to me so if I have to do it, it has to be right.I am a strong believer of love. I get lots of proposals; it is so crazy I do not know who to give a chance to. I think it is a price I have to pay for stardom. Sometimes when anybody comes my way, I do not know who wants to be with me for the right reasons. I believe when that day comes, I will definitely figure out who that person is. It is not easy. What I should be talking about is not relationship but marriage. I want to go into marriage and be in it for ever. No one goes into marriage thinking of divorce, but it happens. We try our best. I think I am kind of scared, but I just have to give it a try whether I like it or not. It just has to happen and happen right; at the right time.”

How to create a new page on BLOGGER

BLOGGER pages are designed to allow users to publish content on stand-alone pages that are linked to their blog’s home page in Google BLOGGER. Pages are a good way for BLOGGERS to highlight key features of their website without having it added to the timeline of the blog, such as contact information or an “About Me” section. Here are some steps on how to add a page to BLOGGER.

STEPS

1. Log into your BLOGGER account.
Once you are logged in, make sure you are at your BLOGGER’S Dashboard, otherwise click on the “Dashboard” link, which will take you to a list of your blogs.

2. Add or write a new page.
On your BLOGGER Dashboard, click on the “Posting” tab, then click on “Edit Pages.” You will see a list of your current pages if there are any. Click on the blue button that says “New Page.”

3. Publish your page.
Write the content on your page just as you would do for a post, and click on Publish Page on the bottom to make it public for readers.

4. Add the Pages gadget.
In order for readers to find and click on your pages, you will need to add their links to your blog, which can be done by adding the Pages gadget. The Pages gadget will allow you to add the page links to the top of your blog or in a sidebar.

.Go to BLOGGER and click on the “Design” link from the main Dashboard. From the Page Elements link, click on “Add a Gadget.” Scroll down until you locate Pages. Add this gadget to your blog by clicking on the blue icon with a plus symbol inside.

.Move the Pages gadget within your layout either to the top of your blog or to the sidebar, depending on your preference. Click on the orange “Save” button for BLOGGER to accept your changes.

.Modify the Pages gadget. The Pages gadget will allow you to customize the details of how you want your page links to appear. Optional modifications include re-ordering the pages, giving the Pages section a title, and having the option to rename the Home page where all your blog posts appear. You can also choose if you want new pages added to the list of links by default when you create new pages.

5. Add HTML to create Pages tabs with custom templates.
If you are using a custom template and not a BLOGGER template, Pages may not show up unless you modify the HTML code.

.Remove the Pages gadget from your BLOGGER layout if it does not work. Go to BLOGGER and click on the “Design” link from the main Dashboard. From the Page Elements section, locate the Pages gadget and click on the “Edit” link. Scroll down to the bottom of your Pages gadget and click on “Remove.”

.Edit the HTML. Click on “Edit HTML” next to Page Elements on your Layout screen. Place a check-mark in the box next to Expand Widget Templates.

.Locate the string of HTML to modify. Visit Google’s BLOGGER Help website to view the current HTML you will need to modify at http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=165955.

.Preview your blog before saving modifications. Once you have modified the HTML, click on the blue “Preview” button to make sure your Pages tabs are showing. Click on “Save Template.”

.Re-add the Pages gadget to your blog. Now that you have modified the HTML code for your custom template, revisit the Layout screen and add the Pages gadget to your blog.

Three feared dead, 20 injured in Uyo stadium stampede

Three persons have been feared dead and over 20 injured in a stampede during the inauguration of the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo.

Apart from the stampede which led to the death of the affected people, security men at the gate dispensed tear gas canisters on those trying to gain entry into the stadium.
According to Punchng.com, some of those who sustained injury during the stampede lay for several minutes while the medical team at the stadium had yet to attend to their cases.
One of the injured victims, Mr. Wisdom Amaowo, said he was pushed inside the gate by a security operative who also dispensed tear gas canisters on him.
He said, “After the policeman dispensed the tear gas canisters on me, I became unconscious and did not know when I was moved to where you now see me.
“Right now, I cannot bend; you can see many bruises and cut on my arms, legs and other parts of my body.
“Since I have been brought here, there is no one from the medical section of the stadium that has come to my aid.”
The state Commissioner for Health, Mr. Emem-Abasi Bassey, confirmed the incident, but said no dead had been recorded.

He stated that he was aware of the situation at the gate as many people, both those with tickets and those without the tickets were trying to gain entry into the gates.
Bassey added that 150 medical personnel were on ground to attend to injured victims.
“We have just revived a woman whose condition was terrible as a result of the stampede. We are completely in control of the situation,” he said.
The commissioner, however, attributed the stampede to excitement as many people wanted to gain access to the stadium at all cost.

A Facebook Fan Box or Like Box is a great plugin that allows blog visitors to subscribe to your blog updates via their Facebook accounts, without leaving your blog. Once subscribing (by pressing the like button), visitors will receive your most recent blog updates on their Facebook page. This box also displays faces of the “likers” on your blog. Before creating a fan box, you should already have a Facebook fan page.
Create a Facebook Like Box

1. Find out your Facebook fan page URL by visiting your Facebook fan page and copy the URL in the address bar – you can see how your URL should look like in this screenshot:

2. Then visit this page: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box

3. Paste your URL into the Facebook Page URL field, as it is shown below:

4. Once you are satisfied with the looks of the Like Box, click on the “Get Code” button

5. You’ll be given two codes, titled HTML 5, XFBML and IFRAME. The one we need is the ‘iframe’ code. Select it and copy the code generated in this box, as it is shown in the example below:
